Going to a different kind of game...

Here I am at the EpiCenter of the Earthquakes.
The San Jose Earthquakes call the little grass area at the end of their arena the "Epi Center". Cute!
We were there for the NSWL Championship game. We bought our tickets months ago when they first went on sale. But our team, the Washington Spirit, with the lovely neon yellow and green, did make the Championship!

Other than the wrong team winning, it was a great time.
And a great game. Gotham FC got a goal in the 80th minute or so. But, still, the game was a grinder. Loved it. (Except the final score!)
This is SWMBO, me, DOM, and the two people who bought our extra tickets. We know some people in SF, but they weren't able to make it.

Since we were in San Jose, we had the opportunity to go to a San Jose Sharks hockey match. Against the Bruins. Sharks shut them out, 3-0. San Jose fans got their free food promotion since the Sharks scored three goals.
And when Boston had a breakaway and the SJ goalie stuffed him, I might have exclaimed, "Eat that, Teddy Ruxpin!"

We got to see a former Washington Capitals player, Dimitri Orlov, playing for the Sharks.
I also got a tiramisu cupcake.

San Jose is also the home of the Computer History Musem. Very cool, if you're that kind of nerd.

I was a little concerned at first that my family was just driving by to drop me off as an exhibit...
