Osprey Sci Fi Mix It Up!

These are some pretty basic builds with the Osprey generic scifi crew set. Hope you recognize the gang colors.
I used sets 1&2, which are separate male and female sets (throughout the series), combined.
The good part about these is they have lots of extra bits, so even if I paid a couple pennies above $1/figure, I will get my mileage back by combining the extra weapons, heads, and kit with my $0.50/figure ones.

The heavy troopers looked like they would line up well with my Napoleonic uniforms in space.
There's something to be said about snappy uniforms. I don't know what it is, but I'm sure there's something.

The scavengers form a nice little unit when painted up the same ...

... and when given a little variety ...

... and a little more, too.

So, to dip into the variety, here are some 'Clix that I spruced up with various leftover bits from the sets.
The extra flavor helps each figure stand out a little, but still blend in to the overall mix of figs.

A different take on variety - there were cat heads in the various boxes. Not many, but I collected them across all the sets and make some corporate drone catgirls, complete with fluffy pipecleaner tails. And token male to get their coffee.

And a cleft, but not really "brain external" head. This looked like a good one for a set of aliens instead of mixed in the random species (like the crew in the first pic).
They have an old-school B movie feel to them, so I did them in black and white to mach my film noir figures.

And what B-movie aliens are complete without a hokey-looking space ship?

With hokey-looking control panels?
